A: Bewitching Eden attends select artisan markets throughout the year on Vancouver Island. Upcoming events can be found on the Craft Markets page.

Q: Do you restock sold out creations?

A: Some collections may return seasonally, while others remain one-of-a-kind or limited release pieces. Availability varies throughout the year.

Q: Are your creations intended for ritual or spiritual practices?

A: Bewitching Eden creations are designed to inspire moments of calm, reflection, beauty, and intentional living. Each person connects with them in their own unique way.

Q: Do you create limited collections?

A: Yes. Many collections are released seasonally or in limited quantities, and some creations may not return once sold out.

Q: Why do some candles or creations look slightly different from the photos?

A: Because each piece is handcrafted in small batches, slight variations in colour, engraving, botanicals, crystals, or finish may occur. These natural differences are part of the beauty and uniqueness of handmade work.

Q: Are your candles handmade?

A: Yes. Each candle is hand-poured in small batches with care and intention in Mill Bay, British Columbia.

Q: Why may some pieces vary slightly from one another?

A: Each creation is handcrafted in small batches, so slight variations in colour, botanical placement, engraving, or finish are part of the uniqueness and character of the piece.

Q: Can I customize a candle?

A: Limited custom engraving may be available upon request.

Q: Can I reuse or recycle the candle jar?

A: Absolutely. My jars and tins are recyclable—and many customers choose to repurpose them for plants, makeup brushes, or keepsakes. You can even request a refill if you’re local or reach out about reuse options at markets.

Q: Do wooden wick candles burn differently than cotton wicks?

A: Yes—they’re beautifully unique and just as easy once you know how! To light a wooden wick, tilt the candle on an angle and let the flame draw across the entire wick—similar to lighting a match. It may take a couple of tries, but once the wax begins to draw through the wick, it’ll burn steadily.

Wooden wicks create a soft crackling sound and burn cleanly with no soot or smoke, thanks to our high-quality FSC-certified wood wicks and natural wax blend. If you notice smoke, simply trim the burnt wood and check for drafts.

Plus, they’re eco-friendly—sustainably sourced from a Canadian supplier and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

Q: Why is the first burn so important?

A: The first time you light your candle sets the tone for every burn that follows. Let it burn long enough to form a full melt pool that reaches the edge of the jar—this can take a few hours depending on the candle size. This helps prevent tunnelling and sets a strong “wax memory,” ensuring an even, beautiful burn every time.

Q: What’s the difference between fragrance oils and essential oils in your candles?

A: I offer both! My essential oil candles are infused with pure botanical oils and have a softer, more natural scent. Fragrance oil candles use phthalate-free blends for a stronger aroma and a wider variety of scents. Both options are clean-burning, high-quality, and free from harmful additives.
